Pest Control for Mites and Plaster Beetles

Your infestation and surrounding area has been treated with an insecticide spray call Demand CS* which contains Lambd-cyhalothyrin. The HSE number is 6287 and this product is made by Sorex Demand CS and is possibly the most modern insecticide available today.

We may have had to use a powder called Ficam D*, this contains an insecticide in a dust formulation @ 1% w/w Bendiocarb.

Both these insecticides are biodegradable, are almost odourless, non tainting and do not corrode or stain. They are not highly toxic towards mammals but are extremely toxic to all forms of crawling and flying public health pests.

The infested areas will have been sprayed and possibly dusted.

Clover Mites – it may be necessary to remove plants and turf from the edge of the affected building.

Poultry or Bird Mites – the bird nests must be removed and proofing measures carried out to prevent birds nesting in the future.

After treatment do not let domestic animals walk on treated surfaces until completely dry and should bare skin come into contact while the area is wet please ensure you wash the skin thoroughly.

It is possible you may see Mites/Plaster beetles for up to 2-3 weeks after the treatment has been completed. As long as the surfaces that have been treated are not washed or vacuumed the insecticide will remain active for up to 3 months. Therefore please ensure you do not wash or vacuum the treated area until one week after the infestation has ceased.

We guarantee the treated areas only for one month after the first spray and the guarantee is only valid as long as all instructions and advice are adhered.
